  • In the first two years of candidature, meeting course requirements in a timely manner.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree requiring at least four years of full-time study in a relevant field with an honours 1 or 2A, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Alternatively, possess a master’s degree with significant research components and at least 25% of one full-time equivalent year of work, including a thesis, normally achieving an honours 2A grade.
  • Scholarships are granted based on academic record, research output, and prior research experience ;
  • Not eligible for individuals who have previously held an Australian Government or Monash-funded Postgraduate Research Award for a period exceeding six months.

Scholarship Retention Requirements:

  • Adherence to Monash University’s RTP Scholarship policy and procedures.
