  • RTP Stipend Eligibility:

Applicants should not have an income surpassing 75% of the assigned RTP Stipend rate, intended to cover general living expenses throughout the Higher Degree by Research. Any income unrelated to the course of study or not designated for general living costs will not be taken into consideration.

  • RTP Fees Offset Eligibility:

Candidates should not be recipients of a corresponding award or scholarship from the Commonwealth Government to offset tuition fees for their Higher Degree by Research. All domestic applicants in the year 2023 will automatically receive an RTP Fees Offset, assuming they are not already benefiting from a comparable award or scholarship.



  • Commencement and Deferral of RTP Scholarship:

Accepted candidates are required to commence their studies by the specified dates outlined in their offer letter. Any request for delaying commencement must be formally submitted to the Dean of Graduate Research, providing a rationale, the proposed new enrolment date, and the supervisor’s endorsement. Delays beyond December 1, 2023, will not be sanctioned, and failure to enroll without permission for delay will result in the withdrawal of the scholarship offer.

  • Period of Support for RTP Scholarship:

Continuation of the scholarship is contingent upon maintaining satisfactory academic progress and concludes either upon the award’s expiration or the submission of the thesis for examination, whichever transpires first.
