Eligibility Requirements:

The University of Exeter is offering up to 15 fully-funded doctoral studentships for September 2024 entry in partnership with the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC)

The eligibility requirements for these EPSRC-funded PhDs in Engineering and Physical Sciences are as follows:



  • Applicants should possess, or be about to obtain, a First or Upper Second Class UK Honours degree or equivalent qualifications in a relevant field
  • Funding is available for UK Nationals, those with settled or pre-settled status, or indefinite leave to remain or enter. Limited funding is available for international students, who need to cover the costs of the student visa, healthcare surcharge, and associated expenses
  • To apply, you must contact an academic staff member with EPSRC-facing research experience and submit a short proposal jointly written with the potential supervisor

Application Process :

The selection process for the University of Exeter’s EPSRC-funded PhDs in Engineering and Physical Sciences is as follows:
